Château of Talcy

The Château of Talcy has a very unique charm, where medieval strength and Renaissance elegance merge. Cassandre, the daughter of an Italian banker and Ronsard’s ideal love, used to live here. The emotional recollection of her presence inspired the poet in "Les Amours". The so-called "house in the country", links up with its past when it was a farming estate: a regularly laid-out garden with architectural fruit displays emerging from amazing flowerbeds. Apples and pears are in the limelight, in their older varieties, cultivated in clever cordon-style.

Château of Beauregard – Cellettes

Built by a man of State and friend of Ronsard, the Château of Beauregard (before being built onto in the 17th century) was proof of a certain wealth that enchanted art lovers with its interior decoration and panelling. 327 portraits, among which are fifteen kings of France - the 'Gallery of the Illustrious' makes history lessons come to life. In the park, the portrait garden invites you for a stroll.
