Training the horse-riding elite

Founded in 1972, the French National Horse-Riding School is under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports. It works in cooperation with the French Horse-Riding Federation with the backing of the national stud farms and the Ministries of Agriculture and the Defense.

The school trains the horse-riding elite. The teaching provided covers all of the horse-riding disciplines as well as general training. In relation with the University of Angers, the French Horse-Riding Federation, professional organisations, and other partners, the school proposes a wide choice of vocational training and high level courses for teachers and competitors (both French and foreign).
The school welcomes and organises numerous competitions, including those at international levels.

A research program and a documentation center

Study and research have been carried out in a variety of technical, scientific and educational fields in order to improve the teaching of horse-riding skills. Established at the school, the ‘Pôle  France ’ offers incomparable support at high level for the first three Olympic disciplines, in other words for the French participants.

The French National Horse-riding School also has an exceptional documentation center, which is becoming more and more accessible thanks to multimedia. The Cadre Noir, the teaching body of the French National Horse-riding School thus perpetuates its training and dressage mission for French horses.
