Christmas at Chenonceau

Every year, Chenonceau celebrates the Christmas holidays in style, offering elegant new flower displays created by its florists. Jean François Boucher, the château’s master florist and a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France”, and his team create a whole host of extraordinary and magical displays that will delight young and old alike.

“La Galerie Médicis”, a permanent exhibition at the Château de Chenonceau

Built according to the plans of a Venetian palace, the Ponte Vecchio of the Loire Valle is a construction originally conceived by Queen Catherine de Medici. The collections in its gallery have been enriched to include new works of art such as paintings, statues and other objects that enhance this emblematic setting.© Image de Marc

Evening walks at the Château de Chenonceau

Enjoy a stroll through the castle’s sublime, illuminated gardens teeming with history, accompanied by the music of Arcangelo Corelli, a master of Italian classicism. This poetic evening walk enables visitors to discover the full splendour of Chenonceau as night falls. Every evening from 1 July to 31 August, 9.30-11.30pm. Tastings under the stars at Chenonceau

A superb evening including the opening of the Grande Galerie spanning the Cher river and a tasting of gourmet AOC Touraine/Chenonceaux wines attended by wine estates from the local area. The château’s gastronomic restaurant, L'Orangerie, will also be open specially for the evening, offering a special wine/food pairings menu. Pre-booking required - www.chenonceau.com. 9.30-11.30pm.
