How to get to the château ?

By TGV (high-speed train): from Paris: 2h.
By road: A11 from Paris - A83 from Bordeaux - RN137 from Rennes.
Tramway: line 1 – ‘Duchesse Anne’ stop.
Busway: line 4.
By coach: one-minute-stop: ‘Duchesse Anne’ car park, rue Henri IV – coach park: coach terminus, allée Baco

Opening hours

The Château of Nantes is open every day of the week except Mondays.
- From 1st September to 30th June: Courtyard, ramparts, moat garden: 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, 7/7.
Inside the château, museum and exhibition: 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, closed on Mondays.
- From 1st July to 31st August: Courtyard, ramparts, moat garden: 9.00 am to 8.00 pm, 7/7 with nocturnal visits on certain evenings.
Inside the château, museum and exhibition: 9.30 am to 7.00 pm, 7/7
Site closed on 1st January, 1st May, 1st November and 25th December.

Practical information

Almost all the museum (29 rooms out of 32) and part of the ramparts are accessible to people with reduced mobility. A sensory visit for blind and partially-sighted, for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, is also organised.
